Pretty sure NC used a brine mixture, not really sure how much salt content is in it but they don't lay down straight salt.

I don't know what the mixture is, but it's not on the roads very often. I'd say a cumulative of 20-30 days maybe a year.*

*This could be more if you live in the higher elevations vs. Asheville proper.

“Over the past four years, the NCDOT has used an average of 115,000 tons of salt annually. In Buncombe County specifically, NCDOT uses about 5,000 tons each year. “We utilize as little salt as possible not only to minimize cost but to reduce any potential environmental impacts,” says Mark Gibbs, a maintenance engineer for NCDOT who is based in Asheville”

Hey NC tacos. ohio boy here. I'm getting quotes from ashville vehicle outfitters for a major truck overhalll. Alucab install, full ome suspension with UCA, needle bearing replacement, snorkle install.

They have been very responsive, and Eric was a good guy to talk to on the phone.

I want to see if anyone has personally used them for an install. I'd like to get some feedback before dropping a large amount of money at their shop.

Eric is good people and will do you right. I just ordered two sets of BP-51s from him and I’ve gotten my RTT and awning from him too. I do my own install so can’t vouch for that be he has at two Toyota Master Techs doing the installs.

Clear have more output but I prefer the look of amber and they do better in precipitation. I have other lights if I need more output.

I did the headlight harness upgrade and it pretty much overpowers them.

I’ve only been by there to have them quote me an install for my dual battery setup with all the components wired up. Lights, winch, compressor etc etc. guys are awesome! I haven’t pulled the trigger yet so I can’t vouch for work performance but if their work ethic reflects their over all character and vibe then they should be top notch.

Alrighty good folks of the best tacoma forum on the interwebs. She’s for sale. 2007 Tacoma Prerunner 4.0 V6 automatic with just shy of 200k. Leather seats. 33” Nitto ridge grapplers wrapped around SCS SR8’s. 3” lift. Icon AAL, bilstein 5160 rear shocks and air bags. ARE caper shell. Retrofit headlights, paint is flaking in the headlights so it comes with a second set of new stocks if desired. Katskinz leather seats. Many other mods that can be sent separately if interested. All of which are inspired by TW. I purchased an F250 as I’ve just outgrown this truck and I don’t drive it a whole bunch, it’s time to let someone else to enjoy it as much as I have. More pictures are to come but I’m out of town and don’t have any interior pictures. Asking $15,000 and I’m pretty firm with that number. I’d jump in this truck and take it anywhere in the world and not bat an eye. Oil changed every 3k. Very maintenance prone. 0 rust. You can eat off any surface in the truck. Interior is an 8/10 due to drivers seat wear, along with a worn spot on the wheel where my hand has sat for years in the same spot. Body is 8.5/10. Few rock chips on the hood, scratch in access cab door from previous owner, scratch in tail gate, small dent in rear bumper. Washed weekly. Waxed monthly and ceramic coated. It is a clean well loved truck. Again, I’m pretty locked in at $15,000. Feel free to give me a shout for questions about the truck and more pictures. 828-505-5050. I’m based in Asheville but can travel. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND. Cash only.
    Thanks Tw!!
