I recently purchased a Westin Bull Bar, and it came with a free set of driving lights. I am in the process of wiring it all up, and I have a question regarding the switch.

There are three wires coming from the switch assembly, White, Black and Yellow.

The black wire is ground. The white wire goes to the relay. It says to connect the yellow wire to the parking lamp wire.

My questions are: What wire is the parking lamp wire under the dash? What is connecting to this wire going to accomplish? (is it for power?) Can I connect in an alternate way? (IE: tap into a fuse?)

    Appreciate it!

    A few bolts are different.
you need to run the yellow to the parking lamp hot wire under the hood ( not sure of one in the dash). This gives your switch power only when the parking lights/headlights are on. This is a law in most areas, "your not supposed to have driving lights hardwired so they can be used without tail lights/parking lights."

    Thanks Dark,

So the parking lights are the same as running lights?

This will be interesting, as the yellow wire is about 3 ft long, and is connected to the switch under the dash.

Your parking lights are the little yellow lights on the outer edge of both driver and passenger side headlight housing. flick the headlight switch one notch and they will turn on. Get a barrel connector and add on to the 3ft yellow wire to go out the main harness grommet under the driver side dash on the firewall.

I just got my Westin Quadrant lights through the bull bar rebate offer. I've attached a copy of the instructions they provided, showing both the + and - power wires attached to the battery. [IMG]
