I had a set o Westin step bars installed on my 09 Dbl. Cab this week. I've noticed they seem to fit real close to the bottom of the cab, when i say close it's like there is no very little room between the end of my foot & the cab. When i put my foot on the bar it seems like my foot is touching the truck. Is this normal? I have not measured the distance but i was wondeing just how much space was suppose to be between the bar & the cab of the truck?

Normal. That's how mine are. They're worthless as steps other than to wash the roof of your truck. They are, however, very good at preventing parking lot dings/dents. I will be ditching mine eventually and going with something like the Nfabs which have a more useful step.
