My fog lights stopped working recently, I took a closer look this morning and inside of the connecter is soaking wet. Did the water break the led, the connecter from the truck or both???

Take a test light and hook it a good ground.
Some where on the frame will work. But make sure the connection is good.
Then test the green wire for power at the connector.
If the test light lights up, the connection is probably fine.

Testing the ground side might be a bit harder.
You need to hook the test light to battery positive, then probe the Black/White wire at the connector.
If the light lights up, the connector is probably good.

If the voltage checks out and you get it working again you can seal the connector using Dielectric grease to keep the water out.

I use it on all my connections.
I’ve even been known to apply a light coat on the “water proof” rubber seals.
Just to make me feel better, if nothing else.

I also am in the habit of spraying some WD-40 in pretty much all of my connectors before plugging them back in. Occasionally I use silicone spray but usually WD-40. I think anything is better than reinstalling dry.
