I see we got this group buy going and I had a question for wet okle owners. I saw somewhere that wet okles will give you "wet ass" or swamp ass as I like to call it. Is this true? Is it a result of the color you get making the material hot (such as all black)? I drive my truck alot doing the sales thing, and I really don't want swamp ass. :p

The name "Wet Okole" means "Wet Ass" roughly translated...but thats cause it's made for beach/surfer/outdoors type folks.

I've never had any issues with swamp ass being worse because of the seats...

there cold in the winter and hot in the summer.. i guess the swamp ass depends directly on how well you wiped before you got into the truck. you beack and bottom will sweat in the summer. I love mine. i get in an out of it in a wetsuit and bathing suit all the time. they take a little longer to dry in the winter but the summer isnt so bad.

Never had a problem in the summer. Certainly more comfortable in extreme heat or cold than the leather in my previous car.

I used to have them in my Jeep Wrangler. I traded in my Jeep for the Tacoma about 4 years ago and didn't buy Wet Okole's for that reason. I used to think it only gave me swamp ass...then my wife mentioned it caused her to sweat.

I have black ones and live in hot climate. No issues. Outdoor activities + cloth seats = badness. Get the covers.
