Let's just say I'd rather it smell up my apartment than my truck. :D

Your girl is gonna bitch about the smell either way. ;) We chose to leave my windows down in her garage while we did our weekend errands in her Mazda3. I can't believe I haven't got decent pics of my seats yet. At this rate you'll post pics before me.

Very true - she is still saying, "So...are these going to be going into your truck soon, or...?" :p

I may get some pics up tonight, depending on if I'm lucky enough to get the good spot in our parking garage, otherwise it will be tomorrow when I can go borrow the garage at my brother's house.

I got some for my truck last year and went straight from the box to my truck seats. The smell didn't seem that bad to me.
Got some for my wifes 4runner with this groubbuy, gonna sneak em on her ride right before Christmas. Surprise......

Well...I attempted to install the covers tonight, but with it being dark outside, it was a real pain in the ass.

I found out that I didn't have the front-to-back straps for the front row seat bottoms adjusted right so I pulled them off and I'll be attempting to do them again in the morning.

Did you guys pull the plastic off the sides of the seats or leave it on? I tried leaving mine on but it looks like it's going to be a pain...

I tucked the seat cover behind the plastic on the sides of the front seats. I highly recommend removing the seats to install the covers. four bolts a couple connectors and they're out, makes running the straps 1000x easier too.

Everybody's covers look awesome! Finally got around to installing mine so I thought I'd share a couple of pics too! I love 'em! There is one minor flaw though...about an inch of piping on the top of the driver's seat back is mis-sewn so that it looks like it's separating, but it isn't...just kinda looks like it. I'm going to have Wet Okole take a look at it, I'm sure it's an easy fix...so no worries.

Thanks again to cstephan for setting up the group buy!

Well I finally figured out what I was doing wrong with the straps, so I got those figured out - I just need to get the excess bundled up.

The bottom of the driver's seat is on, but I don't like the look of it - there seems like there is a lot of extra fabric on the outside bolster.

Here are a few crappy cell phone pics of what I'm talking about...

Other than this minor detail, they're great so far.

Time to go finish this seat...

Thanks for the advice! I was finally able to get them tucked under the plastic - took a little coaxing, but I got it.

Only part I'm concerned about now are the pics I posted above. I have the straps super tight, and I've pulled the cover as far back as I can but there still seems to be something I'm missing.

I'm also super picky, so that may be all it is. :D

The suggestion to take the seats out is a good one.
Otherwise the install makes your fingers really hurt!
The tundra seats are easier to get under but I did take the plastics off the sides to tuck in.
    Looks good more pics!

Yeah - I just wish I had a garage of my own, versus my apartment's parking garage. They'd be out by now if I did.

I got the driver's seat done. Not as tight of a fit as I thought they'd be, but from a distance they look awesome. I think I'm just being picky. :D

Passenger side bottom is done, taking a break now (it's hot today) and then I'll finish it off.

I think the reason you have a little bit of extra in the front of the drivers seat bottom is that you still don't have it pulled back quite far enough. This is the same reason why it looks a little "bunched" by your lumbar knob as well. If you look at your pics...there should be no seat fabric showing where the recline lever pivots up...at least on mine there isn't and I have a pretty tight fit. Just work it slowly and be careful not to tear it! I'll try to get a couple of pics if I can.

Much appreciated. This was my thought exactly.

I just did the passenger side and I got it quite a bit tighter, even though there is a slight bit of excess, but I'm assuming that's because I haven't finessed it all down into the plastic trim yet.

I'm sure that once I start driving around and actually sitting in the seats I will have to do some readjusting to get everything perfect.

    Thanks for all the help!

Fink...here's a few quick pics...sorry for the crappy quality. A few pics of the driver's as well as the passenger's side. You just gotta be careful and "massage" the covers on, don't just pull from the back. Grab them on the left and right sides right where the piping is and pull toward the rear, work them from front to back and keep tucking under the seat back. Keep doing this and I think you'll eventually get a good fit.

I used a plastic rice paddle (it helps to be from Hawaii where this is a standard kitchen item! :D) to help me tuck in the covers where ever it was needed. Made tucking behind the plastic easy! I guess you could use anything with flat, rounded edges...just be careful not to poke any holes through your cover!

    Hope this helps!

Great suggestions man! Those pics helped a lot. I see what you are talking about.

I'll definitely back through and work on both of the seats to get a little better fit. I have a few plastic spatulas that I can use to get them tucked in a little better.

    Thanks again!

They seem to be better now - still a few wrinkles that I need to work out but no biggie.

It's crazy how much easier the rears are! Took me just a few minutes to get one side done.

When those of you that didn't take your seats out, did you just run the straps down and under the rails of the seats, or did you snake them up and over? I have mine just wrapped around them and they appear to be fine.

The side-to-side strap interferes with a bracket on the driver's side but I never adjust my seat so I don't think it will be a big deal.

Just curious what you guys are doing for this.

They're done! Too dark for pics, but I will post some tomorrow.

Overall, I love them! A few nuances here and there, only because I'm quite picky, but now that they are all installed - they look awesome!

Thanks very much for all the help - I really appreciate it!

HAHA SORRY... and THANKS!! I figured that if I'm spending that much coin on custom seat covers than they better be exactly what I want!

side note: they are sooo much more comfortable than I expected them to be.. the added cushion on the seat and lumbar area is just awesome. I'v got a nagging lower back injury from football and the additional padding feels great :)
