Alright, here’s the end result. Think it turned out alright, but I guess we’ll have the next proper desert storm be the judge of that

Just make sure you leave a gap between the top edge of the fresh air intake and the cover that you made so your air condition can still pull in fresh air.

My passenger floor was getting wet when it rained and I checked all the normal things (Windshield, cowl etc) to no avail. I brought it to the dealer I bought it from, they kept it for 8 hours and told me nothing was wrong. I work in a body shop, running production. I already had my guys de trim that area and I watched water pour in when one of the body men ran a hose over the area. Obviously I wasn’t impressed with their assessment.
I took it to another dealership and within a couple of hours they deduced that there was no seam seeler on my fire wall. My truck was still under warranty so they took care of everything. The leak is gone. While they had it, they replaced my third brake light, as there was a TSB out on it for leaking as well.

    Holy thread revival.
So I'm back at hunting my rather stubborn water leak. Previously only the passenger floorboard was wet. The water wasn't dripping from above due to floor mats and carpet being dry but below the carpet was having standing water.
I resealed my windshield cowl area and blew out the drains. That was back in December of 2023. Haven't had an issue since.

However this morning both Driver and pass. floor was soaked. Same M.O. mats and carpet top are dry. Been drying everything all day even with the continuous rain.

I'll include a picture, the green highlighted area is where the water naturally drains and floods the floor (both sides.)

    Any thoughts?

    Slight update with more info.
Dried the floor yesterday for 16hrs
Today drove for about 2 hrs in total. It was drizzling out but not bad, no water intrusion via drains. However the underside of my 2 front weathertech floor mats are wet due to sweating. Floor are incredibly hot in the front. I'm now thinking this is due to condensation. The trans tunnel and floor is crazy hot while the backseat floorboard is cool to the touch.
I'm curious about my cats now, the truck is a 2007 with 125k miles. Wondering if they are dirty\clogged causing excessive heat.
