We had a hard rain at work today and when I got in my truck to leave, I noticed that when I put on my seat belt it was wet. The further out I pulled it the more wet it was. Somehow moisture has gotten into the area where the seatbelt rolls up. I don't see any other wet areas and the carpet inside the truck is dry. No roof rack or holes in the roof of my 2000 ex-cab and all windows were up and door shut completely.

    Any ideas?

I had the exact same problem a year ago! I found a daylight gap in the rubber weather seal around the top right corner of the door. Try using a flashlight and a partner to see if you can locate anything not water tight around the door.

I'll look at that. I appreciate the response.
    Thanks.

I had the same issue several years ago as well, despite looking for a possible source for several days I never found one and it only happened once. The only scenario I could come up with was that the seatbelt did not retract and got caught outside of the door weather-stripping during a soaking rain.
