Idk if I would call wet shaving a marketing success, a blade edge lasts me over a week of shaving, two sides to every blade, and you get 45 blades for $16, that plus my $24 ebay 1964 Gillette superspeed means for less than pack of the latest fusion5 refills I can shave for over a year.

Not exactly a marketing success for the biggest shaving company out there - I'd say the people just grabbing a razor at the store and handing over their $$ are more of a target.

I mean they’ve succeeded in making people care more about the shaving process and the way your razor looks.

I did the multi-blades/soap for a while. Face and head. About twice a week.
Then I found the Cremo line and things got better.
Spent some $$$ on a fancy injector, bled all over for about 6 weeks.
Middle son got me a safety of some grand design, bled all over for about 6 weeks.
SOLD on Harry's now. With a bit of care to rinse real well and shake dry, then put up out of the wife's reach, I change the Harry's about every 5 weeks.

I still remember my dad and grampa laughing when I asked if someone had a spare, and they both handed me a safety razor. GPa couldn't stop laughing, "Let the kid bleed like the rest of us."
