Picked up an 07 X-Runner 2 weeks ago. First couple days I owned it, I drove in the rain. A couple days later I noticed a bunch of condensation on the underside of the drivers floor mat. The carpet underneath is pretty soaked and there is actually one dark spot that almost looks like a bit of mold or maybe just totally saturated carpet. Dried it up the best I could and noticed a couple days later it was back. It's pretty centralized, like just behind where my heels rest behind the pedals. No drip lines from anywhere, it seems like its coming from underneath the floorboard. Haven't lost any coolant either and it's definitely not coolant on the floor, its water for sure. Is there a grommet or drain tube there or something? Will I have to go ahead and remove the carpet to find out? How involved is removing the carpet? Thanks for any advice.

I had the same issue. I took my door panels off and it turns out the plastic "seal" that goes between the door and the panel was falling off. Re sealed it to the door and haven't seen water since.
