I'd will be traveling to Moosonee and Moose factory this 2022. (and taking English classes from the looks of this sentence)

    Meeting place will be https://www.google.com/maps/place/M...fb!5m2!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d49.2736324!4d-81.6192637

    We will be driving hear
    https://www.moosecree.com/wetumroad/

depending on when the road opens up, we can grab a hotel room at Smooth rock falls or in Chocrane or just spend the night in the truck.. whatever works

    The basic plan
Saturday morning early around 8am start from the moose motel where there is fuel and restaurant for hot breakfast. Drive the winter road to Moosonee and Moosefactory. Drive around a bit to see the area ( which will just be snow covered) then take the drive back to the motel.

Its a long day so lunch will be at the side of the road. Everyone should be prepared to stay outside for one night just in case something happens. there are no parts there so anything happens we have to be ready to tow it back to Smooth Rock Falls.

This trip needs no modifications to any truck or car that wants to go but be aware when I took this trip years b4 the snow drifts can be somewhat big.

Again the date cannot be posted until the Wetum Winter Road is opened.
But we can plan for 2 weeks after the road is opened start this.
A couple of years ago when I did this trip we waited till Feburaury b4 the road opened up..

Please copy and paste the your name on list if it interests you to go.

    thank you

just a side note my last visit there we spent the night camping there in stead of going back to the motel. I'm open to that option again... brrrrrrr...heater.....brrrrrr... generator..... brrrrrrrr...sleeping in truck with heat......brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. lol

The web site says it's about a 6-hour drive from Smooth Rock Falls to Moose Factory right? Yeah I'd say plan to spend a night there.

When I went 2 years ago it was about 5 hrs to Moosenee. But there are so many variables, mostly weather related. If you're going to spend the night in Moosenee you might as well go all the way to Attawapiskat and spend the night there. Thats easily doable in a day. FYI there is a Timmies at the Northern Store in Kashechewan.
