So the ADY GIL gets hit and Paul Watson has the nerve to ask if they can still see the factory ship...............what a fucking dick!

 

I'd love to see the email chains that followed the Ady Gil incident.....hey you know that awesome boat you donated? yeah well, we are complete amateurs who cant do a ******* thing right and, well, its gone. yeah...sorry.....my bad. On the good side, I think we saw a whale. Whats that? sorry, its just the skippers ego... floating by.

NOTAM (Notice to Mariners) ***submerged navigation hazard*** SSCS reports one vessel badly damaged and sinking due to complete negligence and incompetence. Collision occured with steel Japanese whaling vessel and fiberglass racing yaht...guess the winner.

 

I just got done watching the episode of the "Ady Gil" getting hit by one of the whaling ships.
And one question comes to mind, who the f*ck was behind the wheel of the Ady Gil?
Because if you watch it, you can clearly see the caption on top of his vessel and all or most of the crew too, and from what I understand he is usually the one driving the damn thing.
So the vessel is drifting, at idle, you would think if you saw the whaling ship coming towards you, you would want to get behind the wheel and turn it to the right, away from them.
And if someone besides the Caption was behind the wheel, why the f*ck did they not turn away, and give it throttle and get away from the whaling ship?
I find it funny that he's making fun of the whaling ship, and being sarcastic about being scared that they may hit him. And it happens, can't get any better than that. lol

So I really don't fell sorry for him losing his vessel, at full financial loss. He should have been behind the wheel, and if someone was behind the wheel, the caption should have had someone better driving it.
But at least no one got killed or seriously hurt.

First of all the sea shepards suck plain and simple. Completely moronic, a bunch of misguided idiots lead by a complete dick without morals, concern for others, or leadership ability.

That said they are trying to protect animals which are being harvested beyond sustainable levels. Iceland does it with some sense, but Japan's harvest is out of control. Comparing whales to what Americans consider food, while made popular by South Park makes about as much sense as Kenny dying and reappearing the next episode.

Cows, pigs chickens, goats, etc have been domesticated by humans and are able to reproduce at rates which meet or excede human demand. Whales are by no means comparable in that reguard, and are unable to keep pace with the pressures being put on their populations.

You might as well be eating elephants.

 

I'm for the Sea Shepard! After all they are doing the job that no one else will do. The Japanese Whaling fleet is doing most of their whale hunting in a whale sanctuary (Hmm, A big middle finger to them). That's a clear violation of an international law, I believe. And that's what pisses me off the most! The fact that they are out there thinking no one is watching so they cross into the sanctuary and do their hunting. You want to play, play by the f-ing rules a-holes.

Unfortunately They (the Sea Shepard) look very amateurish in their tactics and fail to totally stop the whalers from hunting. At least they slow them down some. IMHO

I just watched the Ady Gil incident, were they out of fuel? Insured? that looks like a stupid publicity stunt, just like when Paul watson got "shot"...
Why the hell yould you put such a fragile vessel in the way of a steel one? Carbon fiber and fiber glass are not ice rated either.....dumb.
