What’s a good 2.5” suspension lift?

Hey all, looking to gather some information on what everyone thinks is a good 2.5 inch suspension lift kit for my 2005 sport double cab with long bed. My stock suspension lived it’s best life and needs to be replaced. I’m mainly looking for a little extra clearance and smoother ride on forest service / dirt roads in AZ around Flagstaff, so I guess the surface streets and freeways could be included in the rough road description what with all the potholes. I don’t do much overly extreme stuff but drive some pretty rocky roads to get too and from various rivers. The lift would also help the long and low profile the vehicle currently has. I’ve heard OME is a fan favorite and looking for something 1.5- 2k that won’t require me to change out much more than the suspension itself. Thanks!

I like my eibach stage 2, but kind of wish I just spent the extra to get the Bilstein 6112/5160 from hearsay.

honestly the eibach threads not inspiring either seems like quite a few people have a clunk on bumps from some part hitting another or something

edit i know you’re gen 2 and im a 3, but I think I see more issues on 2s with that setup.

the lift will probably need UCAs

Lots of good options for a 2.5" lift. I'm personally running Bilstein 6112/5160 at 1.5" and like it. Something I would recommend if you are going over a 2" lift is to get aftermarket upper control arms and consider doing the ECGS bushing.

See my signature for parts. Very happy thus far and is my daily driver. Easily allowed for 32” tires with small back spacing from wheel choice .

If you’re keeping the stock geometry, go with king extended travel coilovers with resi’s and adjusters for the front and rear, get a set of OME medium leafs for the rear, and if you need for your alignment, get SPC UCA’s

You can't get a King set up in his stated budget, let alone adding leaf springs and UCAs. Kings are way overkill for service roads anyway.

He didn’t state a budget, he just mentioned how much the OME kit cost.

They might be overkill, but they’re comfy.

    you can always buy used.

Reread the OP. He said he heard OME is a fan favorite and he's looking for something between $1.5k- $2k, they are 2 separate statements.

We offer a ton of solutions for kits in that 2k range. The hardest part of the $2k budget is anything over approx 2" of lift should have UCAs to correct the alignment. UCAs will run you $600-1300 depending on brand, adjustability, material and ball joint style. If you want to factor UCAs into the budget, a Bilstein 5100 setup with dobinson springs in the front and icon AAL in the back would allow for UCAs and offer a very nice ride quality with reliability. OME setups are reliable but tend to ride like a dump truck theyre so stiff.

Flip side you can do as suggested and find someone elses take offs. Kings, ADS, ICON... you can find all of these used for under $2k but they will likely have damage or need rebuilding which will run you another $1000 and then youre still stuck without UCAs.

Icon is running a sale right now on their stuff, a 2.5 adjustable coilover and 2.0 rear shock for $1500 shipped.

Add UCAs and an AAL to the back and youll be set, or adjust them down to approx 2" setting and get away without UCAs for the time being?

I'm planning on going with Dobinson when I have the money set aside. Their leaf springs only add 2.1" in the rear, but I'm sure a shackle flip or add-a-leaf would bump it up to 2.5.
