Was curious what I should ask for my truck?

    2002 limited 3.4L/4X4/4dr/TRD
316,000 hwy miles. 3rd owner (I’ve driven 170,000 of the miles)
    Clean interior. No off-road.
Cons: bad oxidation on hood & roof.
California truck, smogged, no rust, clean Carfax, etc...

    thanks guys!

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it. It also depends on what area of the country you’re located.

even though its a toyota a lot of people will be afraid of that kind of mileage, but the chrome door handles should compensate for that loss.

It's only worth what someone (who knows it's for sale) is willing and able to pay for it.

I bet there's someone out there who'd want that thing for $8k-10k, others might only be willing to pay $4k. Or $2k. Who knows...

It also depends on how much of a hurry you're in. If you need to sell it quick, you're not likely to find that person who's willing to pay top $$.

So, put it up for sale, pick a number you'd like to get for it. Say that's $7k. Post it. If no one bites, you're either asking too much or your not reaching a large enough audience. If, however, you get like 19 calls in 2 days, you're not asking enough, and it's time to see who wants it the most (bidding war)...

I think it depends on where you live, but my guess is you should be able to find someone to pay $6000-$6800 for it.Be a lot easier to sell it where I live because Tacomas are like the preferred hunting vehicle and so many people use Tacoma for hunting in the big hunting leases and public land down south. But I'm sure someone would buy it out west for decent amount I don't think you'll get close to $10k though

I bet you’d get 5500-7500 for this depending on location. People that know a lot about Tacoma’s don’t care too much about mileage. It’s frame and rust. Plus it’s a 4x4 double cab, look on autotrader, there’s not one cheaper then $4k from NY to CA. Double cabs are becoming harder and harder to come by in 4x4 and the prices of them are pretty crazy, most bring 7500-10k even with high miles.

Is it a TRD with the bed decals removed? just checking

The mileage is the thing that stings, it's a Toyota yeah but 300k of someone's else's miles is always a bit of a gamble when paying thousands for a used vehicle.

Honestly though in SoCal you could probably list that for 8k or more if you are patient. Double cab TRD 4x4 1st gens are the holy grail of Tacomas here. The mileage is the only thing not in your favor

3-4 honestly with that many miles. I'd start with "6k or best offer" if you're posting online.

    4 run, 2 don't
    I wouldn't even sell it.

In CA though I bet you could still see $7-8k

$3-4 k is def too low for that. I just sold an xtra cab in NY with 315k miles and a pretty big dent in lower rear cab for $4500.

Wow. 315k is in what I consider the "dead zone." I think I foolishly applied that to our tacos
