I was that jackass one night. I came off a trail at around 9pm that fed off straight onto the freeway. I had all front leds on and forgot to the turn them off when I get on the road. As I was coming up behind to another truck, I could see the guy was flipping out in the cab. He was waving his arms, middle fingering and slowed suddenly to get behind me. Then started flashing his high beams on and off. I was thinking what in the f*** is this guy's problem? What a maniac. Then realized I had left on all my bumper/grill lights. Oops

I found a spartanX grill and scoop light cheap on FB marketplace from a lease turn in. With my rigid pod fogs. Soon Ill have some OEM LED headlights and a BD 30" bar in my SSO slimline to add to the lightshow.

Do you have the stock rear bumper?
Where were you going to cut them in?

I want to get lights in it but also want to get a high clearance at some point.

Are you all just using the oem style switches? I’m hoping to avoid a wiring mess.

I’ve got the stock rear bumper, and the truck is a lease so I don’t want to cut them in. I haven’t looked at the hitch yet to see where I can mount lights. The BD S1 would be my first choice. The reverse lights would be wired off the 7 pin reverse light circuit and I would use the factory wiring for fogs. A light bar would need a factory style switch.

Wondering which is brighter the cali raised or the diode dynamics. Having the DD fog lights I assume they’re better but who knows

I have so much stuff in the garage that I never installed, or took off.

Im planning to keep mine with the SSO slimline and hoop. I think it will remain mostly unblocked as I mocked it up

    Work in progress...
I like the two smaller lights with the forward camera in between. Not for everyone, I understand.

How are you tapping into power for the light and even the switch?

I think @MESO has a hitch mount for one of the small BD lights. Not sure if it's in production or was a prototype.

Are you asking about power for the light bar, or the reverse lights? For the reverse lights the 7 pin connector provides a switched output that can power a couple of LED’s. I usually make a relay setup to prevent backfeed with a separate switch mounted in the bed for running the lights manually when camping. I have also tapped the reverse light wire at the taillight to get the switched lead on other trucks. The 7 pin has a charging lead for the trailer that should provide power, or I can run a wire if needed. For the light bar I would go direct to the battery and install a switch inside, I’d probably want to hook up a relay to have the light bar enabled by the switch but activated by the factory high beams. I think it’d be sick to have the light bar work with the auto high beams.

I saw that thread on the MESO single pod, looks promising and should be enough light. In the past I’ve made brackets or drilled a single hole (per light) in the hitch to mount lights.

The only issue with the hitch is someone could bump into it.

I was asking about the connectors you used for power for the light bar and even the backlight for the switch.

    Add-a-fuse and those vampire taps

How much did you have to trim off the panels? Do you have any pics? Light bar and brackets arrive Friday and I would like to reinstall the plastic air dams too. Thanks!

I went diode Dynamics stealth 30in amber combo (fog/driving) . I paired them with the ss3 pro white driving fogs.
If you want install tips lemme know.

Installation was straight forward for me. 2-3hr install from pulling truck in to tool clean up....while drinking morning coffee (substitute for beer if evening and add 30min)

perfect setup in my opinion! I just reversed what you did. I went with the white combo stealth 30" inch light bar and SS3 Sport fogs.
