Supposedly, the gas we use today already has fuel system cleaners in it formulated for winter & summer driving.

I've tried fuel injection cleaners and didn't notice any difference.
I will send my injectors out to get rebuilt though.

do not pay a dealer to clean your injectors.

Run the lucas or go with RC Injectors.
Lucas should be added every other month or so.

Gas is gas. The difference is the additives each company adds. Chevron is the best. Not that Shell is bad or any other company is bad. But when you want the best buy Chevron if you can get it and want to pay for it. With Chevron all the time I can't really see the reason for any additives at all except for maybe some Seafoam once or twice a year. No, I don't work for them but I have a friend of mine who has been hauling fuel for 20 years. That's what he says. He also says, if you have to buy fuel with Deathanol in it then always buy premium. I myself used nothing but Chevron for 20 years. Now with something as reliable as the Toyota I just use Maverick which doesn't have "bad gas" it's just probably not up to the standards of Chevron or Shell. I do use Sea Foam once in a while. Once or twice a year. I dump in some Techron once in a while (like once or twice a year) and I use Amsoil PI religiously every 4000 miles. I'm also a big Marvel Mystery oil fan and use that whenever I'm not too lazy to stand there at the pump and measure it out which I'm not doing at 20 degrees with a 40mph wind. If I actually did what I should I'd run Marvel all the time and use the Amsoil PI every 4000 miles. Then I'd be golden. marvel works but it's not an overnight game changer. You have to use it all the time.

Funny that you should ask this question, I just put a can of the Toyota Fuel Injector Cleaner in my tank tonight when I gassed up. I have used it in the past and it seems to work pretty well. Only thing is the exhaust has a stronger odor when it is cold after it warms up the smell isn't as strong.

Mexico is another whole story but as I said, gas is gas. It's the additives that each company adds that make each brand different. I've never run a car in exico. Who knows what they are putting in there. It could have some diesel mixed in for all anyone knows.

stupid ff thing would not budge and i was not wanting to force it!
my arms and chit was already shot from trying to get the lower fuel tank shield (recent powdercoat) back on by myself trying to balance it on my heading getting enough new bolts threaded in most of the way
