Worth a road trip someday. Leave Cali, head east and hit up Moab then over to Colorado to tackle that trail. Would go tomm but that little thing called work always ruins plans LOL. Keep up the videos though, fun to live and dream through others at times

    Really nice video production!!
There’s such a ton of work to make that, with all the scouting, camera setup and huge editing task.....really great job!
Makes me want to go explore!

Do the roof tents make it feel more sketchy with the weight up top?

Originally I was hoping to go more rock crawlier aimed at rubicon, dusy, fordyce and cougar buttes but I don’t see that in the cards for my dclb.
Maybe a sas’d dual cased something else later on after finding some $$$$$.
My dirt bike kind of took that thunder.

Dude no joke the only way I didn’t crash going through there was knowing I was second lane to the left and to leave one car gap between me and the wall. That spot has so many patch jobs, missing bot dots and painted lines that have been ground off that its impossible to tell where the lanes actually are. I have no idea how that’s acceptable, I’ve been in construction zones in other states that are sadly nicer than our highways. At least our gas tax and registration dollars will fix it...oh wait...

this is EXACTLY what is happening. These clowns from CA move here and then want it to be like the place they left. It’s like they don’t know how to live unless they have an In n Out burger and are being taxed out the ass.

Is that Black Bear Pass road seriously considered difficult off roading?

LOL - ran into a couple hiking that had moved to our city from outside of San Francisco. They talked about how nice and easy going it was here, then reacted with genuine fear when they saw our dog, a dachshund, was off a leash and walking around in the woods by itself. I think Stockholm Syndrome describes it best.

Hate to go down this road again. California has a massive amount of beautiful land and what 50 something million people. Unfortunately it gets bad publicity. We all know people ruin everything. The ones that are exported to other states love to let you know "well in California..."

Good job. I did BBP in September. I thought it was a fun trail, but I didn't find it all that difficult. I was pretty worried all week about it, but I think the hype was more than the trail deserves. That being said, the consequences of a mistake were high.

Looks like you had fun! Happy trails.

This is very true. The same thing happens to "the south" and it drives me nuts, so I get where you're coming from.

The terrain isn’t difficult in and of itself...it’s really the consequences of a mistake that make its reputation. Real narrow with real steep drop offs.

OK I see that. Kinda steepish.
