What’s the most annoying “popular” mod

Gladiator is taller and longer than the Tacoma, unless its the DCLB then its longer. It just looks much longer because of its blocky design.

If you find what others to do their stuff is "annoying", maybe YOU are the problem? I can understand say the lifted truck and not adjusting headlight angle, but that's because it is a safety issue to those driving in front. But the hate for something as trivial as raptor lights or pro grills? lol. Some of you guys couldn't leave high school behind I guess. I for one think Yotas look great stock OR modded. I happen to be a fan of making your vehicle look however you please despite other's hate for it. I certainly don't hate on people for having your truck however you like, and if I annoy you for having raptor lights or a pro grill or anything else that makes you have to come here and blow steam off about it, more power to you. If this post helps you deal with your hurt feelings, glad this post is here. And yes, I know that this post may have been intended as just poking fun, but clearly there's some of you that take other people's mods as an insult, as if somehow you are the end all be all of what can, should and should not be done with someone else's truck. And for those of us who continue to "annoy" these knuckle heads, I applaud you, you're my type of people.

And in the end we all love Tacomas no matter what. I don't like certain mods but still enjoy everyone's enthusiasm about their trucks. It's a fun topic but no one really cares THAT much. At least I hope...

 

I thought seat jackers were stupid until I started taking road trips because of my job, but I noticed that I wasn't very comfortable on my drives. Bought a pair. Now I think they're FUCKING AWESOME.

 

I think the point of this thread is to BS about mods we find funny, not personally attack people. I don’t think 95% of these comments would be directed at posts in the “what mod have you done today” thread.


My uncle once told me “never insult what a man rides, regardless of if it has two wheels or two legs” and I try to stick to that.

If you want to spend time and money swapping out different front grills, putting on custom TRD badges or whatever that is fine with me I hope it makes you happy and I’m not going to crap on your build thread or anywhere you share a pic of your truck.

But in this thread has almost a thousand post of folks chuckling about what they find funny. Don’t take it the wrong way

 

• Putting your instagram handle in your window. This is most often some squatted Silverado, to be fair
• These aftermarket hoods that have that fake hood scoop. I bet the Toyota engineers/stylists shake their heads.
  
• Big tool box in tiny bed..just buy an SUV already.
• Non Toyota Edition: Angry Eyes mod on a jeep. I judge everyone behind the wheel of one of those.
• All Trucks Edition: irrationally loud pipes. Such small peened narcissists wanting to be noticed.

 

The oem sport hood scoop is a fake hood scoop. Just saying.

Well I don’t have a problem with it or anything I’m just pointing out that the Toyota employees already put a fake scoop on from factory so I don’t know if that can really be considered a “mod” on these trucks.

 

Yea. But it's so bad it looks like some auto-zone mod.

To be fair I drove a Mitsu Eclipse in college. Had a bulge in one side of the hood to accommodate...nothing. Felt silly to me even then.

I’m not a fan of the fake hood scoops on the Sport either. But I come from a subie WRX background, where hoodscoops are real and functional!
