Must have been a rural area as well? When they're doing speed traps for fund raising it's better to prey on people who aren't local since they'd have to come back to fight the ticket in court and it's usually cheaper to just pay the fine than to travel. My only speeding ticket in the state was for 61 in a 45 (and I was really doing closer to 65), but that was just my turn in the barrel

Used to be that in parts of L.A. driving 2 over the limit on the freeway would almost be dangerous for blocking traffic, but these days almost nothing in the county really moves when the sun is up. I tend to leave in the middle of the night for road trips anymore since it's 40 minutes to get out of town at midnight and 3+hours in daylight from where I live.

I'm not sure what it was. This was in Monterey, in the area of the Naval Post Graduate School. Some of it was an incompetent officer, he initially thought I was in a 30 mph area, and wrote that on the ticket, then amended it a few weeks later.

I was an e-dog in the Navy and just payed as it created less hassle for me. I also had another ticket from a year earlier in San Diego, and that one I deserved.

Mine is not like that. When hung it stretches the tether, I think it would fatigue and break over time. Did you relocate yours?

    Raptor lights win

One that annoys me that I haven't seen mentioned is the Pedal Commander, for those with weak ankles I guess?

I’ll answer for him. “No, I have not. I’m just like most these guys posting on this thread. Hating on shit I know nothing about.”
But I’m curious, how do you like it? I didn’t get one because I got the KD Tune or I would’ve because the 3rd gen tacos got no nuts!
Speaking of fat nuts, I do have raptor lights on my pro grille and a chrome exhaust tip and an ass load of nerd options. Both of those came with my truck when I bought it used but I’ve been pulling more tail then a retard at a petting zoo.

My secondary tether attachment hole is further outboard than yours. I attached my tether in it but it stretches to the point i have to take the cap off before I fully open the door.

    No need
I drive a GTI in the summer and get my fill of acceleration.
I don't try to make my pickup truck a sports car!

But I do have that grille everyone is hating on!

Light bars and pods.... When they are getting used in metropolitan residential areas. Actually now that I think it's only been jeeps running them on.. in downtown Madison, wi. Funny the one with pods and bars had maybe 8 between the bumper, grill, hood and up top. All on. Good thing he didn't buy good pods or that would have been a bit more blinding

Definitely the next best thing to a tune. I had one before I got a tune on my taco and it was a day and night difference with the pedal commander over stock

I get that everyone likes different things, but I just don't understand the obnoxiously loud exhausts. Why anyone would put up with the constant drone while driving is beyond me.

I think after reading this thread, I'm considering staying with a Detroit full size pickup.

There's something to be said for that too.
All kidding aside though, this is a BS thread for sure but this forum, in general, has proven to be a great resource with a lot of helpful people. Being a Michigan native and owner of a handful of Detroit products, I can tell you then not one has performed as well, for as long with less maintenance than my Toyotas.

I took it as mindless bantering, nice though to see some guys dedicated to their rigs. As I approach 50 years of age, my concern with my vehicle is just to be able to put fuel and in it, do the maintenance, turn the key and go.

As soon as my "allocated" vehicle is in my driveway, I hope to learn more about the tacoma platform, hoping to get some dos and don't from this forum. I can take ball busting, and can also dish it out, I don't take things personal unless it's with my dogs.

Must be a small pee pee thing. Makes about as much sense as Meso Customs having a Black Friday sale when they have no inventory and are constantly out of stock
