    Personally, my one reason for getting rid of the chrome was to get rid of the reflection of the sun that blinds me while driving.

    I think you might have a different opinion, if you lived somewhere the lends itself to specific tires, a la Colorado mountains, where I wouldn't be caught dead on factory all season radials (that do NOTHING well) in the winter time. Dedicated snow tires or at least snow rated all terrains are your safest alternative.

    I have been looking to do this but can't find it. Any source or part number? My stock chrome one is losing its shine. (dull/chips) I was also wondering if it is just stuck on the airbag cover or does it have pins/pressed in? I don't want to fuss with the working of the airbag...

    I found them on Amazon but I bought them last year and the link seems to be dead. I bought one for the 4runner and Tacoma and dollar for dollar it is my favorite mod. It was that or Plasti Dip which is what I used for my Hondas and Acuras. Can't stand the chrome...
    And yeah it just sticks on like the emblem overlays

    DE Military Service Tag/(transferrable to any single vehicle I register)
    DE Regular Service Tag

    I'll have to take you up on your Bio read.

    I was under the impression these upgrade haters were joking...you mean, they're not? lol

    It was the 1st thing I did to my 2nd gen - I couldn't stand the OEM Toyota oval logo/grill; think it looks like sh*t

    Most annoying is the light bar - when it is used on the road
    A close second is the bull bar aka damage multiplier but hey, it isn't my truck so - -
