We have had only Toyotas and Hondas since the early 90's. I won't ever own anything else. Btw, we rarely get that much snow, just a few inches each year. Luckily my neighbor has a tractor and comes to the rescue.

My toys are mountain bikes, whitewater kayaks, and my Taco. I bought a Taco as my do all family (of 3) hauler, off-roader, toy carrier, road trippin, campin, daily driving, Costco running machine. I don’t do malls though so I guess I’m missing the boat on true crawler status.

With the price of the truck to begin with, I've got around 9-10k. Parts ain't cheap. Lol. Also, it's got a 2rz and a automatic, dual cases, 4 link rear, TG rock assault Tacoma width front axle housing, hp front 3rd, full hydro, etc etc.

Funny, I’m in the EXACT same position. Except all I want is a Miata lol.

To be honest, what you save in gas you’ll spend on insurance and gas for the other car. Ive had a DD before and that was the case. The only real upside to this is you put less miles on the taco. Depending on how much you drive you may save a few bucks, but nothing astronomical. Most of what you save might go back into the taco when you have to use it again. Pretty much balances out.

I’ve been planing an LS Miata since 2010... im just trying to sneak it by the wife by saying I need a smaller car for gas.. until she sees the mods lol.

So I vote you get a Miata.. in my totally non biased opinion :goingcrazy:

Thanks Aaron! Much appreciated man its been a really fun project to work on, my girlfriend and I worked together on this and basically went back and forth on every part of the bike until we had a design ready which took forever, then I built it pretty quickly, and now that I graduated from HPU this past year I am finally getting around to putting on the finishing touches and tuning/riding it! Originally I had planned on getting it running to sell, but now I am thinking that I will sell my other bike and end up keeping this one. Im currently in the process of replacing every bolt on the bike with matching polished stainless steel hardware and waiting for my all-in-one speedo/tach/odo/fuel gauge/multiple temp gauge setup to arrive so I can finally get this bike fully rideable.

I always preferred the solid bumper 70-73 over the split.

Even the bumperettes on a solid bumper front end look better than the real split bumper, with the round lights and grill extension. But the solid bumper FTW!

Blue car was my daily for the past year and change since I bought it. It was down for a couple of months and drove the old Ford for that. Just got the taco last week and have been having fun with that while the vette stays parked. :drunk:
