That’s how I have to go about it. Otherwise I wouldn’t be driving the taco most of the time

I have checked the tank average a handful of times. It was within .2 mpg. I assume the long term average uses sound math but obviously don’t have their source code.

10k on my truck and I average well above 20. Probably 22 or so. Good bit of highway miles on my truck. The best I’ve ever seen is around 25-26 in perfect conditions. Mine is bone stock and I almost never hammer the accelerator.

Correct. 6 cylinder, 4x4. I do drive very conservatively though with mainly highway miles and the truck is bone stock. My gas mileage is an example of the best possible gas mileage these trucks (6 cylinder) will ever see. If I decide to replace the tires with a more aggressive AT in the future, I can kiss 2-3 MPG goodbye.

It's been extremely accurate in my truck as every time l hand calculate it is +/- .2.

Awesome, that is encouraging. I always try to stretch the mileage, I am currently getting much less (16 to 18) city or hwy with a 2014 DCLB 4x4 v6. So I hope that when I order a 2022 Trd Sport I will get a bit better mileage.

6 cylinder TRD Pro. Bone stoke. I am usually at19.5 yo 20.5 in daily driving. I live in the burbs.. not city driving. No heavy rush hour traffic. On the highway.. 21-22 if I keep the speed down to 70mph. If I go 75mph or higher.. it drops quick. Light towing on the back roads ie 5x8 landscape trailer and a dirt bike... gets 18 or so. But go interstate (speed 70mph) and it goes down to 16 . Not as bad if I take the gate off the trailer.. it is a bit of a parachute I admit.

Same basic truck... generally over 20mpg on one common run which is a mix of 55 and 65 mph road I often average about 23-24mpg!!!
I did change from stock TOYO tire to TOYO Open Road II, same size and only a few pounds heavier and mileage seems similar...
However, on some FM roads in TX my mileage really dropped, but I think that was more due to rough pavement... was surprised at how much of a difference it made.

Just traded a 2016 DCSB 6mt, owned it for 41,000 miles. Averaged 17.8MPG over the 41,000. Most of that had 265/75r16 tires/load range E. Real world mileage (correct for tire height) would be a little higher, but guessing ~18.5mpg real world. Mix of city/highway and mostly hills.

I checked it today. The math came out to 21.89 MPG. Display said 21.9. Mostly highway driving, mostly with the cruise, on I44 from Eureko MO to Big Cabin OK, then south in 69 to Choteau where I got gas. It is a hilly stretch.

    Oh look, another mod....
I have a 2021 TRD OR 4x4, DCSB (no lift or over sized tires). It's not tuned, but does have a Sprinter Booster on it. (That actually HELPED the mpg's!)

It has 10k miles on it. When I first got it, 95% of my driving was highway miles (I drove 28.8 miles one way to my job). I averaged 20.5 - 21MPG. That was the average for the entire tank. I have gotten as high as 25MPG when I set the cruise control @ 68MPH.

I changed jobs 3 months ago, and my commute is still highway miles, but a lot more stop and go traffic. I average 19MPG for the entire tank.

Oh yeah, for both commutes, I do 70MPH. I rarely go over that. I've found that driving any faster than that and/or stop-and-go traffic are the achilles heel for this truck.

I find on fairly level ground cc helps get better mpg.

However, with even moderate hills the extra shifting by the cc to not lose 2 or 3 mph going uphill hits the mpg’s hard.

I must have driven on some different FM roads. . While most are nice. I hit some that slowed me down to below 60 for extended stretches.

I never trusted the computer readouts either. To my surprise, tacos computer is very accurate, it’s about .1-.2 mpg optimistic. I do hand calculate every fill up.

Truck is new SR5. With stock tires 22.5 mpg, with upgraded tires & wheels
(1.5" larger and 15 pounds heavier) 21.5 mpg. These numbers are a mix of 60 mph highway and town driving.
