Just got back from a 1200 mile trip to Colorado. The truck got just under 24 mpg. That is with underinflated tires (load range E 265/75LT)--I normally keep them at 35; they were at about 29. I forgot to check them before I left. That was also with 5W30 oil--I'm not convinced that the recommended weight is good for long time use.

I play this game I call “get the best mpg I can when I’m driving” surely I’m not the only one

    Me driving:
    Around town 17/18
    Highway 21/22

My girlfriend really likes driving my AC OR 2017 so she has developed the habit of taking the keys on a regular basis….

    my girlfriend driving my truck:
    Around town 13/15
    Highway 17/18

she has a lead foot, she’s gotten better….

With my V6 AT, I average about 27 on the freeway, doing 60-65. Flat is a little better, hilly is a little worse. In the city, I get anywhere from 19 to 24, depending upon traffic and how often I use the ECT. Tires are original and factory spec for inflation. I use a tonneau cover as well.

I mainly drive city miles. 8 miles to work with a number of stoplights along the way. Get about 300 miles between fill-ups and add about 18 gallons (yes I know there are ~3 gallons left). So about 16 MPG on average.

On that 300 miles on a tank of gas, maybe 50 of them are freeway miles.

I've had the truck for 2000 miles. I gave up trying to baby it while driving to eek out another .1 to .3 MPG. It is what it is. Although I am interested to see how it does on a longer road trip with extended miles at ~60 MPH.

On the Highway I average about 20-21 staying around 75.
In town I average about 16-18.
There isn't too much of a difference in it so far. It has about 2700 miles on it in right at a month old. It is completely stock. I will be getting the KDMax tune in the next week or two and will be doing a couple trips. I will update after if there is a change.

I ran cruise control once and it was fine with little to no traffic. As soon as I hit any sort of even minor congestion where the cruise control had to throttle up and down to maintain distance/speed, it really sucked. I had to turn it off.

Yeah you just filled the gas tank and drove gently or downhill, report back when you are ready to fill up again to see where it is.

The only MPG number I care about is the per-tank average.

I've only ever put 87 octane in mine and it's been super consistent per-tank MPG on my fairly regular commute. fwiw, my on-board MPG meter has always been pretty much spot-on.

I get my best MPG on the gentle 40-50 MPH backroads commute with no stops or traffic.
