well I would have to go with a WJ or ZJ grand cherokee. Probably catch alot of flack for this one but I have an 04 limited v8 with quadradrive and I have to say its nice to wheel with every option avaliable. It will be getting a lift and lots of other goodies if I ever finish building my Tacoma.

If i had to choose something else, i'd go back to what i had before my Taco. It was an 1985 K5 Blazer 4x4. That truck seemed indestructable, did anything i asked of it. I loved that truck.

I wouldn't mind a 4.0 cherokee but I want coils all the way around hence the grand.

Always loved K-5 blazers but finding one these days that doesn't need piles of work is difficult. And the 10 bolts have to go, good thing I still have 3/4 ton axles out of a suburban project.

Besides, you didn't state in the OP, what you did about half way through it, something about you needing something in your price range:confused:, nope in your OP you ask what other 4x4 would we drive besides the taco.

I owned three Jeep Cherokees in a row back in the 1990s. All had the I6 engine and you couldn't kill them with dynamite. But then Chrysler plasticized the Jeep design and I moved on to a Tundra in 02. Since we can't use that, I followed the Tundra with a Mitsu Montero for a year, and then traded it in for a white 07 Nissan Titan Crew Cab (and yes I took a bath on the negative equity). The Titan was completely loaded with EVERYTHING offered except a cassette deck. That was a sweet ride. That truck turned heads. You could feel the truck envy as you rode down the street. My boss at the time, a British chap, called it 'The Great White Whale' but it was a gorgeous vehicle. Got 16-19 mpg with the 6.0L V8 too (on road).
