Thanks to TacoWorld, I did the Kicker/Suburu $250. upgrade. I was very happy with it but wanted more bass. I got the JL Stealthbox when it was on sale for $750. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to amps and installs so I took it to a local shop that installed it with a Renegade 550w amp. Never heard of Renegade. I was pretty happy with it till the amp blew. Took it to another shop to have the amp replaced and they laughed at the Renegade. They replaced it with an amp from a company called Blam. Wasn't sure about the amp or the shop till the guy gave me a 1/2 hour lecture on amps, subwoofers, the apogee of the sun and a dozen other things. Also, it was a 250w amp? But the way he explained it, this was all I needed. Go to pick up my truck and I'm blown away! This 250w amp that's half the size of the other amp is louder on it's minimal setting than the Renegade was on it's highest setting. I literally have the volume set to 1 and it has better performance than the Renegade on 10. Blam. Horrible name, great performance.

I’ve heard of BLAM speakers, they are nice from the little listening time I’ve had. That amp will do you for years. Enjoy!

A shop actually sold you a renegade amp? They’re not bottom of the barrel like Rockville or Pyle, but I’ve never actually seen a shop carry them. They’re owned by Rockford but not even listed on their site if that tells you anything.

Yeah I knew it was crap when I found my receipt and it was sold to me for $250 but I could get a replacement for $75. So I decided to upgrade.

I didn't know Blam made amps, but they make some nice speaker drivers. Surprised you found that in a random shop in the US.

wow i never even heard of the JL Stealthbox but that thing looks awesome! I just bought a ********* box with a JL Audio 10" subwoofer off a friend of mine but havent had it installed yet. I too went with the Kicker upgrade so I cant wait to fill it all in with more power and some bass
