Took me all day, for anyone attempting to do this make sure you are left alone when doing this mod lol, had two kids running around and dinner to cook. All in all happy Ita done and over. This isn't a diy since there's already one but a few tips.

When dremeling your lights do it at a slight angle so it's less of a cut (I used 1 1/2 wheel for plastic). Don't be too nervous and remember once you cut a bit you might as well finish it lol.

That turned out awesome! Normally I'm against tinting the whole taillight on the outside (for safety reasons) but I'm really digging that. Just don't think I have the guts to pull them apart. Knowing my luck i'll spring a leak during the next rain storm... lol

Thanks guys. Yeah I was back and forth about doing this mod but glad I did it. It's nerve wrecking cause.you are literally cutting what looks like 8th of an inch to separate your lights. As long as you are using the right kind of glue.it won't leak. As soon as I finished them I put them back on my truck, 3 hours.later heavy rain. Just make sure you use a thick glue that seals the outside of the lights, don't try to fill the cut you made or the glue may leak through.

I was contemplating those. I don't think I would have gotten 200. I like modding and learning, that's what did it for me. For paint,.I'll probably get flamed for this plasti dipped lol

True. Well I got $220 for my stock ones. I too love modding and learning which is why I will do a retrofit but didn't really wanna mess with the tails. But everyone has a preference. You plastidipped them? I wonder how long that will hold up…..interesting haven't heard of anyone doing that.

That's awesome you got that much.for them. Yeh that's why I dipped them. I figured if it can hold up on wheels and some off roading, tail pipes, why couldn't it hold up in a sealed taillight lol

yeah it will prob hold up fine. I have had my tail pipe tip done for about 2 months and looks fine.
