what a short-ram intake?

    What is a short ram intake? how is different than a standard cai?

    Short ram usually isn't a true CAI. In other words, they typically pull air from within the engine bay and not cold(er) air from outside.

    Exactly.

    They're usually cheaper and easier to install. But you won't see as much of a gain with an SRI.
