So far I only have ratchet straps, but have some goals and am curious to know what you all think.
I'm sure you already have some more stuff in there, maybe hidden inside the rear seat compartments. Am wondering what everyone has.

    Am planning in the future:

-cheap Amazon/eBay traction boards, with a custom spot to mount/secure them. Maybe black color so they don't stand out to be stolen if it's in the bed

-some sort of air compressor for tires; maybe a storage tank or cheap Harbor Freight compressor that can run off the 12V bed outlet. Or maybe a cordless electric one that runs off a Milwaukee battery or something.

-front recovery point, though that might be installed rather than kept stored

-possibly rear shackles for bumper, or at least (2"?) reciever hitch shackle at high load rating.
Harbor Freight has a $9 one but it's only rated at 5,000lbs and I fear it would snap off and go flying during any real use

-snatch strap and any other required accessories for vehicle recovery, such as weighted mats that get wrapped around the strap on the ground (2 of them)

-some sort of shovel. Maybe a folding one

-flashlight but a small streamlight is usually in my pocket

Bring zipties just incase. Battery jumper, tire patch kit. Also I always have some window cleaner and microfiber rags. Just incase a bunch of bugs get on the windscreen, especially helps when heading home during night time.

Not sure I’d run out and buy a bunch of (admittedly) cheap gear just to have in the truck. Buy what you need but buy quality hardware.

My current, which is not as complete as many ...

NOCO GB40 battery booster, Viair 88P air compressor (attaches directly to battery instead of 12V-cigarette-lighter-plug), Silky Gomboy Curve folding saw, CB handheld radio (probably useless, but I have had it for years so ...), folding shovel (mostly useless, but not expensive either), tire-plug kit, Leatherman Surge, zip-ties, Tenacious Tape. Must be something else, but ...

I should add a fire extinguisher, tow rope or strap. ARB Recovery point is good (https://store.arbusa.com/recovery-point-2823010/), rear recovery point for hitch (https://www.factor55.com/p-hitchlink-2-0).

    Winch mount with recovery points
    3 shackles
1 rope shackle(I need two more)
    recovery strap
    tree saver strap
    extra hitch pins
    d ring recovery hitch mount
    noco jump box
    jumper cables
    duct tape
    gaff tape
    zip ties
recovery ring (good for redirecting winch pull direction or recovery situations to lower the line pull effectively doubling winch power)
    a book
spare magazine (handy when the situation arises you need to tie two straps together)
    ratchet straps
    small shovel
    fiskers axe
    fiskers hatchet
    spare fuses
    tire plugs
    air compressor kit

Better to have it not need it than to need it and not have it.

I have pretty much the same.
With tire changing equipment I carry extra lugnuts, both for the Ray10s and stock wheels.

Battery booster for sure. Never count on another person the give you a jump start. It’s better for the electronics also.

I bought 3 light-blue water-resistent fold up totea at IKEA that have should straps like a backpack. They are usually empty, but if one must evacuate the truck in a pinch you have them. $7 each.

My gear load depends on what I’m doing.

    Daily driving:
    Tool roll
    Zip ties
First aid kit (and the training to use it)
    Factory jack
    Gloves
    LED road flares
Antigravity battery jumper (though I like the noco one my wife has better)
    Assorted spare fuses
Thor’s lightning compressor mounted behind my driver rear wheel well

    Winter driving:
    Traction boards
    Snatch strap
    Hitch mounted shackle
    Shovel
    Sleeping bag
    Food/water
Usually 5gal of fuel for some extra weight

    off road trips:
    Tire plugs
    20ton bottle jack
    Assorted hardware
    Road flares
    JB weld
    2x snatch straps
D rings and soft shackles 2-3 each
A chair for when I get stuck and need to figure out my next move in comfort

each level usually includes the stuff from above it
