I off-road a couple times a year and I’m kinda saving up for the ARB double compressor (over $600) but I also daily my truck so I’m not really rock crawling or doing anything too wild. Just wondering what you guys are running when you air back up

I use a Viair 300p. got it cheap on sale, works good with 34's and is easy to get around without having to actually install anything. I can air my tires back up to over 40psi but I dont run then with that much pressure anyways.

Viair 450C (100% duty cycle) mounted in the aft cubby plumbed to a 2.5 gal tank stuffed up under the bumper behind the spare tire.

I'm running the AliExpress version of the Summit dual compressor: https://sswoffroad.com/products/ssw-dual-air-compressor

It's as fast as the ARB twin at half the price. Each of my 35" tires takes 50 sec from 15 to 30 psi

    4 run, 2 don't
    Saving?

Just buy a Viair 400P and use the rest of that cash on beer for when you camp out.

Been using mine for awhile now both with the 4Runner and the Land Cruiser -

Although when I had a Tacoma, I used a Powertank. You should go that route too if you want a means of airing up quickly -

Mine stayed in the bed for over a year and a half or so (rain or shine, never removed it). No one tried to steal it or anything.

Smittybilt 5.65 CFM Air Compressor - model 2781. When i got it, the price was about $160; though now I see it's about 2 bills. It does exactly what it should - and I'm happy with it.

That's what I use (and keep it behind the seat as well). For as little offroading as I do, it's all I need

I have a ARB single compressor (portable). Bought it used and I think it works pretty awesome.

Serious question: why don't more people use the single ARB compressor?
Its always the double or a different brand, never see the single.
even the on-board mounts all seem to be for the ARB double.

^The ARB single is pretty expensive for its capabilities.

Until recently there wasn't a decent lower-priced alternative to the ARB twin.

None yet - 1 week old.
I have a Via Air 88P that cost me $90 on Amazon. I bought it before my off road toy and haven't used it to air up 4 tires yet. But it's built fantastic and I have NO regrets. Pretty cool how many others landed with Via Air compressors (but the other choices could be more suited to charging up some bigger tires...).

If you have Milwaukee tools their 18v air compressor is really nice.

    I really like mine.

I know a battery operated compressor is obviously not as good as a direct powered but does anyone use one for airing back up and pressurizing their water tank?

I spent the $990 on the ARB suitcase version. If I total my rig, that will be one less part I’ll have to replace. You don’t think about that stuff until you total a Limited with less than 6k miles on it.
