Hey guys, I will probably get hammered for this, but I am brand spanking new to the forum and to Tacomas. Not new to forums, though, and I searched like hell for answers before I hit the new thread button.

I recently got an 07 Tacoma DC TRDOR and while picking up an oil filter at the dealer, had them run the VIN for any outstanding recalls.

The frame recall was never performed, as was this rear leaf spring issue, so they had me drop it off for a look over. Long story short, I need a new frame and the new springs. So, while I have this opportunity, I was trying to figure out what all they replace. It is funny that the service writers at the dealership have no clue. The dealer has done 80+ replacements on the 05-09 so far, and their techs have been at the dealer since the mid 80's, so I am in good shape.

I know so far this rebuild comes with the following:

    New Frame
    New Bushings
    New A-Arms
    New Ball Joints ??????
    New Brake Lines

Not sure if they replace upper AND lower ball joints, and would like to know. This thing has 117K on it, so I also wonder what else is good to do with it while it is getting this done. Like body mounts, struts/shocks, tranny flush, water pump, etc.

    Can anyone help me out?

From what I've heard it's brake lines only. Anything else is a wear and tear item you will pay for, not Toyota.

Hmm that's what I heard when the campaign started, but Toyota switched some things afterward. I think I'll have to call the dealership and find out from the actual service techs.
