The ST Maxx tires are some of the best tires I've ever run. They're absolutely insane for an E-rated tire.

If I couldn't go with my ST Maxx's, I'd be running BFG KO2s.

I went with BFG KO2's in load range C (265/70/17) and couldn't be happier. They ride extremely well on pavement and have not affected my gas mileage at all. They also look really good too.

Second all of the above. Running the same size and I couldn't be happier with the choice. Excited to see how they behave in the Midwestern winter. My hill is the red headed step-child for snow plows.

Correct, the STTs are a mud tire and weigh a fair amount more than the ST which is an AT. From what the OP wrote he does mot want or need the STT.

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
These are working well for me and seem to have a long thread life. My driving is mostly pavement with the occasional forest service road etc. Would buy them again. I have load D, definitely want to stick with LT tire, but would rather go to C next time.

General Grabber AT2s, Duratracs and AT KO2s are also on my short list when the time comes.
