    The usual squirrels and birds, and one cat. Thing ran at full speed out of the bushes and under the truck. First time I have seen an animal run FROM a safe hiding place.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Between my former ride ('95 Wrangler) and my tacoma I think I've hit two birds, at least one squirrel, two groundhogs...and counting :devil:

    Weirdest thing was I hit one of the squirrels and one of the groundhogs both within the same week before I even got my drivers license.

    I've been lucky so far, haven't hit anything or anyone (knock on wood), but I have come very close to hitting animals. But I think I remember running over a snail in my drive way once. lol

    I also remember when I was 10 I was ridding my bike and I was going fast on the sidewalk. And this huge @ss Cat ran out from underneath the car and I rolled over it with both tires, over the center portion of the body.
    I'm not sure if it was okay, but it ran off so I guess it was fine. lol

    Where I lived and worked in NY last year it wasn't much concern of what you might hit but rather what might hit you....

    I was actually having the rear leaf TSB done to my truck, which was awesome that I got all new shocks in the front and an extra leaf in the back, and I was driving a toyota loaner car, a corolla sport to be exact. I have to say I was really surprised by how much fun that car was to drive but by the end of the third day I was certainly ready to be back in my taco.

    So anyways I was driving to work, literally 3 hours before I was going to go return the loaner and pick up my truck, and as I entered town I looked down to make sure I was going the speed limit. Out of the corner of my eye I see a brown flash and BOOM!!

    A friggin deer t-boned the corolla. It dented the fender panel, driver side door and broke the side mirror. And worst part is the deer didn't even die, in which case I would have had a freezer full of venison to get me through the winter, and the fact that it probably died slowly since I could see it limp off on 3 legs. Damage ended up being over 1 grand but I guess it was better the corolla than my truck.

    Oh and I smoked a squirrel once but that was just natural selection in my mind. It darted out in the road and I swerved so that it was dead center below my truck and the damn thing tried to run out half way through.

    none as of yet there is not much to offer here in germany ,but when i get back to the states next year it's a different ball game
    i'm in germany,i've run over a badger,skinned deer real rampant around this time of year w/ the fog and snow coming,a hawk,and for all intensive purposes suicidal rabbits the size of dogs here it's like they sit and wait then they jump poor thing ran him over without a bump in the stride of my tacoma,the foxes are brave they play with and the wild bores they are hefty pigs but not a match for a tak

    My first Tacoma ('97 regular cab) ended up totalled after I hit a deer.

    They are the dumbest, most unpredictable animals I've ever encountered. A whole bunch of them ran over the road and into the woods, and then 4 or 5 ran back onto the road right in front of me.

    If that's true, then you shouldn't have passed in that situation. If you couldn't see what was in the lane over, then you were following too close. What if there was another vehicle or motorcycle coming in the other lane? Oh well, you wouldn't have time to stop?

    cant exactly see a dead dear laying in the other lane when you are behind someone because they are on the ground... a motorcycle or vehicle you can see since they are up off the ground. From what it sounds like, he was either on a multi laned road or on the highway.
