Other than a canoe, I can’t think of any other reason to have roof rails. Anyone have other uses for them? I like the look but would like function as well. Would love e to see pics of them in use.

Hmm most of these items could fit in the truck bed. It would seem difficult having to load a ice chest up there. They only have a 100# weight limit too.

Yes, but if one is going on a camping trip or something similar every little bit counts. Skis for instance could also not lie flat in the bed.

Makes a handy grab handle when pulling myself up to wash the top while standing on the sliders. I also use it for my 11 foot SUPs.

If I had a roof rack I wouldn't have to stick those 10 and 12 foot boards through my rear slider window and hold them over my shoulder on the interstate driving home from home depot lol.

My bed was full so I put a dolly up there once. Also keep my traction boards up there full time. When I’m on a trip, waterproof pelican case is up there. High lift mount. I have full 360 surround lights mounted up there. So many things you can do....

I only have an awning, shower tent, roof top tent, maxtrax, a solar panel, and fishing pole holders on mine. When I had my factory roof rack I had an awning, yakima powderhounds on it, and I think maxtrax as well.

Hard to see. I screwed in 2 grip fists on the cross bars. Surf poles are real narrow at the handle so I'm able to fit 3 on each side. When I use my smaller 7' poles I can only get two per side.

Here's my old setup on the OE roof rack. This is from 2018

When I go camping, I end up hauling my elderly parents tents, chairs, tables etc.

The Prinsu holds all that leaving the bed for camp pantry tote, camp tote, food cooler, drink cooler etc.
