I just got my first ever tacoma. (Never have owned a truck) It didn't come with running boards or the side steps. I would like to see some good options to buy..

Tyger running boards from Walmart go for a pretty decent price. Yes I said Walmart!!

In before the Slider crowd, and congrats Jonathan.

Steelcraft 4" oval steps. Actually very functional as a step.

It depends on what the step is made from. Some are aluminum, some are stainless steel, some are powder-coated mild steel, some are powder-coated stainless steel. Mine are powder-coated stainless steel.

Many use 2nd gen on the 3rd gen, bolt right on. Here’s my ‘19 with 2nd gen boards. 761746A9-403C-46E3-AEA2-414E4EF7F9F0.jpgC8F2EDBC-A6D4-4AE1-8F78-CFA060210C92.jpg

I'll second the 2nd gen running boards:

Note: I'm 6'4" and do not use them for ingress/egress...more to stand on when washing the top of the truck. However, my 6/4 year olds use them on the daily.

But I do think they look the best.

Congrats on the new ride. I like the Predators, helps the kids get in easy, able to stand on them to access the racks and helps when washing and dring the truck. Plus they look great, be careful when heavy off roadinfg as some have damaged them. I don't have that to worry about as I don't do anything to serious.
