    That's the truth

Personally I have -20' of 1/2 rope and carabiners for recovery, if you can tie a few knots it's much more useful than tow straps.
-a small pipe for tire iron leverage
    -flares and glow sticks
    -rain gear
    -basic hand tools
-life straws.(straws that filter up to 1000gallons of water)
    -a frisbee
    -extra clothes
    -maps of ny

One can never have too many light bars.
I have a tactical knife, hatchet, tarp, recovery straps, ball mount, tow hooks for the hitch, 100' rope, duct tape, jumpers, 800 watt power inverter, air compressor, first aid kit, binoculars and a sleeve of tennis balls for my furry co-pilot.
