What are the white strips on the tach and speedo?

Yeah! It was the last production vehicle to include a tape player factory. I forget what I was watching, maybe Top gear or something, where the SC430 was voted absolute worst car you could buy. It's owned almost exclusively by old people, which is why you only see it in black, white, or beige, and why they still included the tape player.
