    Is it the responsibility of a skid plate manufacturer to guarantee that their product offers the same structural support as the braces?

    If installing their skid plate requires you to remove a structural support. Then I would say yes.

    and you assume they would try avoid guaranteeing the same level of structural support?

    There's lots of armor vendors on here, why dont you just ask em?
