    While changing out my chrome bumper caps to black ones, these fell out...one on each side...any idea what they are and if they’re needed? New bumper caps feel secure...

    They clip on the back of the caps... help hold the cap to the bumper. Without taking the bumper off and apart, I don't think you can reinstall them. Most people trash them, afaik.
