I like how if you fill the remaining space in the bed with items you can't open the cubby doors.

As he looks down at his freshly polished, white New Balance sneakers, black socks and the hem of the Docker's slacks barely kissing the tops of his shoes he realizes that being 40 pounds overweight and married to someone he use to like has left him in a funk for 15+ years. Katie, the new girl at the coffee shop, always gives him extra sugar and calls him hun. He wonders if she's thinking the same thing he's thinking? Those late nights, while his wife is sleeping by his side, his mind drifts to a time long ago, when the winks and the flirts from the girls weren't fake and he could actually feel like a man. The Home Depot trips for mulch and fertilizer are wearing thin and he is beginning to feel a small, yet irritable pain somewhere deep in his mind. How long can this go on before something has to break?

    Ridgeline ftw!

    Welcome to TW @smagnus !

It seems handy until you measure between the wheel wells and realize that they are about 1" to close together to be able to just lay the plywood right on the bed floor. Really Toyota? You couldn't just make it 48" between the wheel wells?

That’s stupid why would u have those rails in the middle of the bed .. those would get in the way when u need to load something flat in the bed .

Which the Ridgeline has (the trunk can be used as a large cooler, or you can just fit a cooler in there. The bed can also fit 4’ plywood between the wheel wells. You can also fold the back seats up without removing the headrests and have a (mostly) flat floor. The Ridgeline gets trashed a lot, but it is very well designed.

These trucks were built to be modular. I'm sure Toyota made those slots for a reason, possibly to fit future accessories. But honestly you could slap a piece of wood or steel and have support beams to mount gear to! Maybe even a shelf.

If you look closely, you will notice those rails are held on by a few bolts which are easy to remove. I honestly would benifit from this setup... lol. I have a bed rack and tonneau, so It's a pain in the ass fetching my camping gear from the back of my truck bed. If I had these rails and tie down points in the middle, it'd make life a lot less difficult.

Those rails are flush with the tops of the ridges in the bed. They are one of the few things I miss about my old Frontier.

The Ridgeline bed is above the wheel wells. That's how they can get a 4X8 sheet in them. Measure how shallow a Ridgeline bed is.

Except the bed design is the one of the things that hasn't really changed on the Frontier & Titan.

Titan was all new in 2016 and thoroughly updated for 2020. Frontier has only had minor updates over the years but it got a new 310hp 3.8L V6 and 9spd auto for 2020. 3rd gen is coming in 2021.
