I was speaking (typing) tongue and cheek. However, it's cool to know that they'll be updating the Frontier soon. Competition is good for us.

    Oh! my bad.

I'm pretty interested to see what they come up with. I've always been a fan of both Toyota & Nissan trucks. The slots in Toyota's bed are nice with the flat inner fenders. Nissan's utilitrack system is really trick.

48" between the wheel wells is full size truck territory. I believe the Taco is around 43-44". SO yeah, an inch or 5.

If you're basing a purchase of a midsize truck on its ability to transport plywood, the Ridgeline would win hands down. The Tacoma bed is about 3 inches deeper, but if your using the 2x6's as a platform for the plywood you lose about 9 inches of space for the plywood. Also considering the fact that the Ridgeline has a higher payload than the Tacoma, the Ridgeline has its uses. It looks funny doing it, but it can handle mall duties with the best of them.

Obviously if you transport a lot of plywood, a full size is the correct choice.

I agree and it's now my favorite truck although I will see what the redesign of the Tacoma looks like. I like the upcoming Ridgeline design. The back seat design in genius.May have to end my lease early......Honda is good about that but Carvana will get first crack. They paid a ton for my Ranger....

The back seat has more room than the Tacoma because it goes from ceiling to floor. Can put a couple of bicycles in there.

The fact you have to remove the headrests in a Taco just to fold the seat backs down and not up and out of the way as the Ridgeline does is user hostile in my opinion. Toyota gets away with a lot of crap just because Tacomas will sell because they are Tacomas.
