Filled the bed with Clusia shrubs today, 500lbs of Portland cement last weekend, a cement mixer the weekend before and will be hauling 3 yards of sand once the rain stops (on trailer, not at once). In the meantime I drive it to my office job.

+1 - you can add me to the list. On the way to my desk job, I think of all the things I could put in the bed of my truck, and that makes me feel manly enough.

I have a woodshop. Mine is constantly hauling lumber. The nearest hardwood supply store is 160 miles away... my bed gets quite a workout.

PS... I ride a bicycle to my day job. The Tacoma stays in the garage.

My Taco is my DD as well as hauler of anything that may need to be moved in my life. It is my commuter as well as workhorse.

Over the last 2 weeks it has hauled 3 loads of household stuff (furniture, dishes, TV's etc) to storage and 2 new to her curio cabinets about 40 miles home for the wife.

Over the next 2 weeks it will take the pup to and from the vet, move a few thousand pounds of pallets, and a couple home depot runs for paint, lumber, fasteners, pavers, and other such materials for a deck expansion and fencing project for the holiday weekend.

Gotta do something besides tend the smoker.

I needed the bed to haul around my OEM bed mat, so my bed is never not being used to haul stuff.

I am constantly hauling wood/drywall/mulch/stone in my taco and just got my sumo springs in the mail this past weekend and will hopefully install them tonight since I have a lot to haul this coming weekend again...never ends, but it is well worth it..

I haul stuff in mine frequently. Stuff I've hauled:

    • Building materials of various lengths (including plywood)
    • Bags of cement
    • Mulch
    • Table and chair set for our deck
    • 4 big boxes of pieces + slide for kids playhouse
    • Cardboard (to take to recycling when I have a ton)
    • Tools
    • Yard waste / junk / scrap boards and such to take to the dump
    • Camping gear
I use my truck as a truck. But I drive it to work at my desk job with an empty bed too :p
