I was able to average 39 MPG in my wife's Honda CR-V over about 20 miles. All I had to do was go 62 mph and follow about 15' behind an RV.

Playing with my scangauge I pushed the envelope a bit and drove 565.4 miles on this tank of gas. I normally fill up at a Mobile but was getting nervous because the scangauge said I was down to .7 gallons so I filled up at a Hess. At 20.113 gallons the Hess pump turned off 2/10ths sooner than I expected which gives me 28.111 MPG. I was expecting 27.8ish and now I'm expecting a slightly lower MPG on the next tank if I go back to my normal station.

I drove my 2001 Tacoma V6, 300+ miles round trip, and I lost some power on steep grades. Shifting up helped ease the pain, but still lost power at 70. Whats up??
I just cut a 2x4 hole in the air box, and fixed some screen over it, will that help?? I was getting 17 just putting around town and trips of 20 miles or less...

16mpg from first 2 fill ups. I get that in flat Florida while keeping rpms under 2k, soft on the pedal and little to no highway. Oddly enough, this is the same mileage i got with my old 2003 2.4L I4.

I have been averaging 18 city and 19 highway on regular.. However, I pulled a small trailer with my polaris ranger ~1500lbs and was getting a piss poor 10mpg.. Not real impressed with the milage while towing.. Anybody else getting these numbers while towing? Also, I was wondering if a CAI and exhaust would help out??

I get 19 - 21 all the time. I bought a bed cover and I think that helps the MPG. I also have a dual cab long bed. Hope it helps.

87 octane only, about 200 miles a day, mostly highway. I average 20.8, peaked at 21.5 mpg. I could do better, but I enjoy the power too much. :D

Wow, that is horrible. Do you have one of those trailers with the huge gate sticking up? I got 17 hwy towing a Uhaul utility trailer that was probably around 2-2,500 and that was at 70-75mph.

I have been really lucky with my V6 4x4 access cab. I average 17-18 city and usually get 20hwy at 75mph and with a good tailwind get over 21.

When using 93 octane I see at least a 1mpg increase over 87 as well. Mine is 100% stock and I run Mobil 1.

I get about 19 average combined city/highway. While towing, the mileage is much worse. Last weekend I towed a flat utility trailer with my V-Strom 1000 motorcycle tied to it and got only 11-13 1/2 mpg while towing.
