These guys have their act together. I have never purchased from them, but I downloaded Techstream off their site when they had it available for free. I originally bought the cable off ebay. It came with a CD and instructions about, delete this file, substitute these numbers in this file, install that file, and a whole bunch of stuff I didn't understand. After I downloaded and unzipped the file from these guys, I followed their step by step instructions and it was so easy to make it work with 64 bit.

He stated (clearly) that he has a scanner but it just wont scan that particular code.... bluetooth phone scanner would leave him in exactly the same situation

oh, someone made a key generator to activate TechStream, but it was in a weird format apparently no one could use. So I just made it into a downloadable file, just download it, run it, and you get your activation key. Currently only works for the US. I'll finish the other regions when I'm at work tomorrow.

    Edit: https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/...-thread-settings-and-such.110099/post-9477434

Just download the file from tiny upload. But like I said, I'll have an updated one tomorrow for other regions. I was just doing this in my pseudo spare time at work.

Edit 2: The other bit about the ini. It's just like a text file with the relevant information needed to generate the activation keys. So in theory, when v15 comes out, I can just post a text file, and you just replace that, and the generator will work on v15. But it doesn't exist yet, so... all theroy.

I’ve heard there’s a lot of viruses associated with these cracked versions of Techstream. You joined TW and Tundra talk yesterday. Very odd...

I totally understand that. I mean, all I can say, is there isn't. But that's why in the tundra post I included the code and the md5 of the exe, if someone would like to compile it and check the md5 against my compile. Kinda out of my hands as the author until someone steps forward who can do this with a better rep than myself. All I can say is I'm IT by trade, just bought a taco, and bought a cable to check my TPMS which wasn't working when I bought the truck. So I naturally gravitated to all of this.

Are you going to do repairs yourself? My dealer chargers for diagnosis but if they do the repair it’s canceled

No idea. I'll more than likely just end up not caring to be honest. I've been working on cars for.... 17 years as a hobby, 3 years when I was ASE for trade. It's not like I couldn't, but I probably won't. I work too many hours to *really* care enough to fix a tpms problem.
