I have a metal frenchpress stashed in the camping tote. But Trader Joe’s instant coffee packs are worth a try imo.

My local grocery outlet gets DeathWish instant singular packet occasionally. Best instant coffee strength wise. Taste decent halfway decent too.

Testing out a new addition to my camp cooking arsenal. Cool little unit uses either butane or propane since butane can be hard to come by in certain areas. Considering 98% of my camp trips are solo, this meets all my needs and can be stowed away more easily.[IMG]

Did grab one or the electric tumbler cup things mentioned earlier in thread for boiling. Works great, and depending on situation, faster and easier than stove or Jetboil.

At this point we just drink canned cold brew from the cooler in the morning at the campsite. If we want something hot I much prefer a black tea nowadays.

There is a good joke there, but it's too political to post.

I'm happy with my French press.

Any reuseable coffee maker requires cleanup after use. I'm pretty stingy when it comes to using water out in the boonies.(liquid gold) So I've gotten used to instant. There are so many brands and flavors, so it's pretty easy to find what works for you. I've done the french press, the filter drip, and the conventioanl percalator.

I have a friend from Columbia who gave me two vacuum packs of Sello Rojo. It was a pleasant surprise. The perfect cup of coffee out of my Wacaco Pipamoka.

I brought back some coffee from deep in the interior of Mexico and from a trip to Fiji just last week. I'll take both with me RV camping tomorrow.

For camping, big fan of pour over (when I feel like packing a V60 and relatively small 900mL kettle), or an aeropress if I’m not out with more than one other coffee drinker. I work in food and beverage and like to maximize everyone’s enjoyment of the things we drink and can’t help but pack a small .1g x 1000g scale to weigh my coffee and water for the right brew strength every time. Takes up as much space as a drink coaster and is just part of the process of making coffee for me. I used to carry a hand grinder but these days I just grind 30, 45, or 60g before I pack, for each time I plan on making a round of coffee, depending on how many people will be drinking it.

The V60 is best overall for extraction, ability to brew as much or as little as I need, and for cleanup not requiring any water.

Aeropress is great as well, yields a more espresso-like body in the brew (slight pressurization while brewing) and is limited to a small amount (1 serving) at a time. The great thing is that it doesn’t require a gooseneck kettle to brew a proper coffee, packs into a footprint about the size of a 12oz soda can, and only takes a half ounce of water to quickly rinse the plunger off after use. I have taken my aeropress bikepacking and it’s well worth taking up the space and weight over packing the instant stuff.
