What are you high lifted guys doing about a drive shaft, mine seems to be further out where the 2 pieces slide into each other in the middle

    One piece shaft?

You still need a slip spline somewhere to address the suspension movement.

You can get a new shaft from Tom Woods. You measure your resting shaft length and they'll build a new shaft that'll have the proper extension/compression.

Does a one piece shaft do away with the carrier bearing?

Yes, it does get rid of the carrier bearing because there is no longer two shafts that need support in the middle.

Semantics maybe but there has to be a slip spline somewhere on the driveshaft. It's either a mid-shaft slip or a slip yoke on the t-case (as it would be for a one-piece shaft). Since there is no slip spline on the t-case for the Tacoma, you are required to have a mid-shaft slip.

As for the carrier bearing, you'll still need one due to the shaft length.

I made my own carrier bearing drop and it helped out a lot but I'm not looking to buy a one piece for the vibrations even though that is a plus... I need one to prevent my Oem drive shaft from falling apart when flexing

Hey OP Are you 4x4 or 2wd?

If he is 4x4 his drive shaft is already splined.

With one piece you lose ground clearance.

Cool deal. I wonder what custom costs...I'll call around

What shocks do people run in the rear with 6" plus lifts in the rear. I currently have some crappy pro comp extended shocks and when I lift the back of the truck up the shocks keep the axle from fully flexing

I have All pro expo pack which is supposed to be 4 inch's. I need a new leaf pack, due to my Heavy ass bumper.

I looking into getting a custom leaf pack by national springs in San diego. The price would be around 800 bucks.

Nice I added to your rep

I see you have the same front lift as me...do they make springs or anything to get rid of the huge pro comp spacer? Right not I have eibach coils and billies up front but hate the look of the spacer
