I've recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma and was curious to see what everyone was doing for a mount in the vehicle for their personal carry handgun.

The center console organizer provides a nice rest for whatever I carry. I leave my gun holstered and just pop it in there. Depending what gun I carry it can also prop up without much movement in the cup holders if left holstered.

I made a custom mount using a custom holster just under the dash, but that is on my 1996. For the 2019 I plan to have it mounted in a holster attached to under the dash somehow. I like the quick draw while I am driving.

Does that ever get annoying? I often find myself resting my leg on that side. Looks great!

@TSAVO What holster are you using here? Does the clip fit in the slot or do you have it mounted differently?

IWB holster fits perfectly right there. Back side towards the console, pistol side towards the seat. Can still draw if needed. No visible holster when I get out to show the world I might have something in the truck worth stealing. Throw the holster on when I get out.

Got this one from Amazon, the clip slides over and the small return on the end of the clip secures it in the diagonal slot securely.

Cheapo magnet from Amazon and double sided gorilla glue tape. Don’t trust balckhawk retention holsters-likely to fail if dirty.

Do you edc the gun when you park or leave it there ever, just wondering how visible that is if you were to park for a moment and leave it in there locked (something I would never do).
