    I slept on this album when it came out(2013).

    I saw these guys with The Offspring a couple years ago. I've never been the biggest 311 fan, but I've tried to be fair, give them a shot.
    When they played, their guitar sound was like a massive wall of static. There was no true definition during the heavier guitar parts.

    I got up at one point to use the restroom, walked around a huge wall and you know what!?! The guitar sounded better with some distance. Not trying to be shitty. Whomever ran sound for those guys needed to rethink their guitar eq for the Amphitheater we were in.

    That can happen with live shows.

    Back in the early Eighties I went to see Sammy Hagar, Journey and Aerosmith down in Miami, and Aerosmith’s sound was terrible. I was bummed and disappointed for sure.

    The only other concert that I've been to that sounded bad, where I seriously considered leaving was when I saw Children of Bodom.
    This was maybe 6 years ago, tiny club in NE Florida. I had never seen them before(and none since). So, myself & 2 buddies went and CoB was terrible. They sounded terrible, they played terrible. I don't know what was going on.
    I felt bad for the guys in the band. You could see it on their faces, they knew they sounded bad.
    I have to conclude they just had an off-night.
    I've seen numerous live clips, and I even own a really old live DVD(Chaos Ridden Years) and they play great in those.

    I'm glad I stuck around. Alexi (the vocalist/guitarist for CoB) died just a couple years later.

    @Toysareus I could listen to the Allman Brothers all-day, every day. That Filmore East album is the best live album of all time IMO.
