    oh my god, I bought a brand-new Type-O Negative CD back in the day and the second I put it into the machine there was a terrible sound coming from the speakers
    I checked all the connections, the speaker cables, RCA cables, they all checked out. It sounded like my stereo had a bad ground connection some where.

    tested it with a different CD, no problem. my stereo never sounded better.
    Took the CD back to the music store.

    the hot chick clerk almost instinctively flipped the CD over to show me the name of the first track:

    Bad Ground.

    edited to add: I apologize for any grammatical or typographic errors, my wife made a gallon of mulled wine and I'm almost done with my third. anyhow, i wanna go look at christmas lights now
