this is true, I had one dealer drive two separate tacomas for my wife to test drive, 80 miles round trip each. They are also doing contracts and all other paperwork via some toyota direct esign thing. kinda wild. i would say this is a good time to buy if you are in the market for one, but might also be difficult to get a model with the features you want later. According to this GM i was dealing with he said that toyota is shutting down its factories and will be harder to get anything in the future in this "covid 19" climate.

Hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction.

I've been working with two dealers all week and finally have quotes to consider. Met with one this evening, but didn't do it. Have a meeting scheduled w/the other tomorrow morning. Feels like my sanity has been compromised due to all of the back and forth. Just wondering if I should continue to pursue a better deal or throw in the towel.

    Here are the details:
2020 OR DC AT Premium OR and Tech packages (and some regional distributor add-on's)
    MSRP: $45,478
    Discount: $5,522 (12%)

The other is within $50, with 12% discount. Pretty much the same.

Is 12% okay right now? Should I shoot for 15%?

I’m not going to pay cash for this purchase. What kind of dealer interest rates are you all running across with credit scores over 750? (5 and 6 year terms) I know Toyota is offering 1.9%/60 months.

    I’m in SW Virginia.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Nice! SR access cab, way under appreciated and best tacoma value out there.

internet manager Touny gave me that price online, I’m not sure if that’s all talk.

Just be firm, they want your business more than you want the truck.lol I will also stick with 1.9 apr if you have good credit or just go with HFCU they have 1.9 APR too

I would target 14-16%. Call some other dealerships even if you have no intention of going there or buying from them. Just price war everyone. That's how I got 16%. You'd be amazed what happens when you just sit on their email or phone call for 4 hours, or overnight. Smoke 'em out.

Quoted almost 17% off an SR5 DC V6 by them. Also talk to David B at Joe Myers- he's a good guy and was actively trying to win my business. Highly recommend price shopping the ~30 or so dealers in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio area.

Anyone buying in the NY area? Curious to see if there are any dealers here being more aggressive than others. Unfortunately, we are not CA, TX or even Reno with large volume dealers looking to move metal. :)

I saved 13% when all said and done, including a couple small additions. I thought it was fair, That was with a trade in and I was given what I wanted( they over paid a little on the trade) I'm happy with the deal I made and the relationship that will help me in the future. That matters, as well as they have to make money to stay in business.

I would pay you to negotiate for me. At this rate I will be lucky to get 5% off. :)

People are losing their jobs like crazy. I’d wait till the dealerships are starving for money before I’d buy. I bought my 2019 TRD Pro with tube steps , bed mat , full front paint film , door sills. I’m in Nashville, TN. I paid $42.8k BEFORE tax/title/license/doc fee.

Appreciate the offers folks. Still sorting out what I want to buy, specifically, so that I don't make a mistake. In the research process.

As an aside, what could very plausibly happen is some dealers move what they have now at reduced prices (probably subsidized by Toyota to some extent). Then production / manufacturing stops creating low inventory and prices go up. Six months later supply is low and that puts them in a good position for next year's model. Not saying that is what will happen ... but it could ...

Also interested in seeing how this effects sales in NY.

Dolan Toyota in Reno is super easy to deal with. No BS, great price. With the OHV/off-roading culture around here in the western desert they move a lot of 4Runners and Tacomas.
