Well the deed is done, my title release should be here in a couple of weeks. Yesterday was an odd experience, I had to sign paper work to give them the truck back only to turn around and have them all it back to me. In all my Toyota dealership just earned a ton of respect from me. They were super helpful, and made the ordeal painless. While I was on the lot looking at other Tacos I began to see why the sticker on my truck was a little high, my truck has more options than any other Taco they had on the lot. 360 cameras, heated leather seats, adaptive cruise, blind spot monitor, parking assist, LED light package, premium tint, chip guard. Pretty much whatever the dealer could put on it the did. Now I really feel good about the price (edit-spelling)

How are you going about contacting them? I like to go in in person and speak with One or two. Or at least call on the phone. They seem to be more receptive once you do this. I guess they think you’re more serious or something. Hopefully you can get a quote in writing. Once you do, it seems like more of them will respond to the email game. In order to get to the ~12% off types of numbers most say that they need to see a quote from another dealership and then they can beat it. I don’t know why this is when I’m sitting there in front of them telling them that this is the number where I need to be or the deal will not happen... They say that they can’t without a quote to get to that same number.

Just bought my first truck. 2020 TRD OR DCSB 4 WD in Cement. LED package, Tech Package, All-Weather Flr Liner, Black Out Package, Bed Light, Mud Guards

    MSRP - $40,281
Negotiated Price Before TTL - 36,045
    Price After TTL & Fees - $39,228

My daily driver the past 14 years has been a 2003 Mazda 6. Been looking for a cement Tacoma with the LED package finally found one 240 miles from me luckily and the dealership met me half way. Beyond excited to finally have joined the Tacoma family.

HaHa I knew you were in Florida. I live in Vero Beach and I am having the same issue. Dealers are not budging much at all around here despite the economy going in the tubes.

Not hard to believe, before rebates he's just below 11% off MSRP, the huge rebates are what helps him out. Dealer wont lose that money since its a rebate through TFS so they are still making out because his MSRP is so low and such big rebates combined with the discount it makes it a bigger percent off MSRP 16-17% which another base trim guy also got here as well recently. Some dealers are just douches and try to factor in the rebate when talking price padding they're profit margin even more. Myself and a few others have managed 12-13% off MSRP without any rebates prior to covidpoclypse, if the rebate was available I would have been closer at 16% as well had I chosen it. None the less its a great score / deal by OP.

I had to deal with Alaska premium pricing(shipping costs) due to me living near the northern most dealer in the world. I got a 2020 TRD off road for 45k. After the test drive I knew I had to have it

It is probably regional, I bought a TRD Off Road double cab with a MSRP of $39,950, for $32,520 before TTL and doc fees, taking all incentives instead of the financing deals. Another member from Austin got an even better deal than I did at the same dealer a couple of weeks later. A 2WD SR5 runs closer to 28K here, where are you located?

From what I gather, the dealers here in the south central US tend to be more aggressive with pricing in general, there is a huge inventory of trucks in every dealer lot here, I think they are getting a little nervous and want to move a few more units off their lots. Good luck with your search!

We'll see. In those same 2 decades we have never seen something remotely like the GDP contraction coming for Q2.

And yet the rebate and incentives are still the same this month...while people are looking out of state as inventory dwindles. I doubt they’ll need to raise incentives to keep selling.

Seems like the expectation is that incentives will be extended through May, but do we have any idea when they would announce that? Dealer just emailed me saying 0% ends today in an attempt to get me to make a move, and Toyota.com still lists today as well. Seems like it would have made more sense for Toyota to announce that prior to today, rather then letting them expire just to renew them...

Maybe. But just wait. The economic story here has only just begun to unfold. This is the top of the 1st inning of a long and rough game.

I still don't think folks grasp what is likely about to happen. Just like they didnt see Covid-19 coming.

Toyota can do better than 4.9% on the PRO. I was pre-approved before all this virus crap by a local credit association at 2.9%.
I got tired of messing with USAA. For some reason they couldn't pull my credit from the agency they use. Spent 4 days back and forth between USAA and the credit bureau. Both just pointed fingers and said it was the others fault. Gave up and went local. Anyways when I went to pick up my truck last of March I told them I was was pre-approved locally at 2.9%. And since I had already negotiated my trade in and my OTD price when I ordered the truck back in January. If they could match or beat it I'd finance with them. Took about 10 minuted for Toyota Financial to match the 2.9% on my 2020 PRO.
